Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology was established as faculty of technology by Kamla Nehru trust and was registered under the societies act. It came into being in its present form of the Institute of technology in 1979 by the resolution of the state government of Uttar Pradesh. This college is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University.

The technical courses of this institute have been ranked among the top contenders in the statewide survey. It is located in the urban area of Sultanpur, Uttar Pradesh and its campus is spread over 100 acres of land providing the serene environment and world-class infrastructure.

This prestigious institute provides undergraduate courses in engineering, postgraduate courses in engineering and computer applications and varied doctoral programmes.

The admission to these institutions is done through state level entrance examination SEE and further merit list is formed according to which further admission process takes place.

Admission process:

Admission to various courses offered by KAMLA NEHRU INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY SULTANPUR is made according to the rank obtained in UPSEE and seats are allotted in Counselling session organised by Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow. Candidates are selected through different rounds of counselling process with varied cut-offs (Qualifying Marks) made by the college itself.

Hostel and Facilities

Campus facilities

The college promises excellent infrastructure to its students including a luscious green environment. The class rooms are well lit and airy with superior interiors. It has a well stocked library with over 25000 books.

The students are provided with 24 hours wifi facility. It has an array of well equipped labs including computer labs and language labs which help develop soft skills among students. The institution also has a well equipped fully air conditioned seminar hall.

The college provides sports facilities to its students and it houses a stadium known as Babu K.N. Singh Stadium which allows students to play games like Cricket, Volleyball, Football etc. It has also has several eateries on the campus which serves tasty and healthy food at a reasonable price.

Hostel Facilities

The college has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. The boys hostel has a capacity of about 350 males while the girls hostel houses 120 females.

The hostel promises homely stay to its residents along with round the clock security. All the rooms are well lit and airy. Each hostel has its own mess which serves nutritious meals in a hygienic environment. Apart from that every hostel has a common room, newspapers and magazines are kept in every hostel.
