Avinashilingam University for Women is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It became a Deemed University in 1957. University now has over 7,300 students and 75,000 alumni. It is a government-aided institute.

The university offers more than 100 programs in areas like Management, Commerce, Biosciences, Engineering, Arts, Social Sciences and Education. There are 41 departments within the university.
