Kamaraj College Of Engineering And Technology (KCET) Virudhunagar

Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology is located in Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1998 and is an unaided private institute. 

College is affiliated with Virudhunagar Hindu Nadars' Devasthanam and Anna University Chennai. It received approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and got autonomous status from 2019 to 2029.

Campus covers 47.92 acres. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate engineering courses. It provides BE and BTech degrees with seven and five specializations respectively. It also offers ME and MTech degrees with four and two specializations respectively. Faculty-student ratio is 1-10 with 173 faculty members.

The college has different facilities. These include a library, transport, medical care, RO purified drinking water, Wi-Fi, a canteen, sports grounds, hostels for boys and girls, conference halls and an open auditorium.

For undergraduate admissions the college accepts TNEA scores. For postgraduate admissions CEETA PG 2024 scorecards are accepted.

The college is accredited by NAAC with Grade A and recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by DSIR. Seven undergraduate programs have accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

In terms of ranking college was ranked 251 in 2020 National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). In 2023, it achieved a rank of 20 out of 166 colleges in India, according to IIRF.

For academic year 2022-2023 college had a placement rate of 95%. The highest salary package was INR 7.5 lakhs per annum and the average salary package was INR 3.5 lakhs per annum.
