Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology is a private university accredited by NNAC with ‘A’ grade.

The college offers courses in both post graduate as well as undergraduate courses. The total intake is 80 students per batch.

The admissions for undergraduate programs are done on the basis of marks scored in 12^th standard as well as in state level common entrance test. While for Post Graduate programs admissions are done on the basis as marks scored during respective UG program as well as in GATE Entrance Test.

The college provides students with various facilities such as library, transport facility, medical care, RO purified drinking water, Wi-Fi in entire campus, canteen, sports grounds, hostel accommodation for boys and girls, conference halls, and an open auditorium.

Training Development and Placement Cell

Kamraj college of Engineering Technology has a Training Development and Placement Cell (TDP). This cell helps the students to get their placement through campus recruitment drive and upgrade their skills.

It also has a Student Placement Coordinators which also helps the students to get placements.

Only final year students can register for campus interview.

Placement procedure is as follows-

Step I: The College has a placement portal for its students. Interested students can apply for it through this portal

Step II: Company sends the list of the selected candidates along with their offer letters.

If a student accepts the offer letter he/she cannot sit for any other campus interview.

Application and Admission Procedure

The admission to Kamaraj College of engineering technology is mainly based on the fulfilment of eligibility criteria of different fields which are listed below:

FIRST YEAR B.E/B.TECH CANDIDATES

The admission in this category i.e. the HSC (academic) candidates are required to have a minimum average marks in maths, physics and chemistry together a percentage of around 50% in case of general, 45% in case of backward class including backward class Muslim and 40% marks for MBC/DNC and SC/SCA/ST. However in case of vocational candidates, the requirement is similar as the former.

SECOND YEAR (LATERAL ENTRY) OF B.E/B.TECH COURSES

The second year candidates are divided into two categories:

DIPLOMA CANDIDATES

A minimum eligibility marks in any one branch of diploma of engineering or technology of the state board of technical education and training.

B.SC CANDIDATES

Pass mark with the minimum eligibility marks of 55% for general, 50% for backward classes including Backward class Muslim and 40% for MBC/DNC and SC/SCA/ST. The student should have a bachelor’s degree in science for at least 3 years and have maths as the core subject.

M.E/M.TECH COURSES

The candidates admitted in part-time and full-time B.E through lateral entry are eligible. The minimum requirement is the average percentage of marks obtained throughout the UG degree.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

Kamaraj College of Engineering and Technology provides accommodation facilities for its students. There are 2 boys’ hostels housing around 900 students and 2 girls’ hostels.

The facilities include the following:
