Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC) Coimbatore

Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College (SREC) is a private engineering college in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It began operations in 1994. It is an autonomous and an unaided private institute.

The college offers 12 undergraduate and 7 postgraduate programs in Engineering and Technology as well as an MBA. B.Tech program is flagship course. Key departments include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Information Technology.

Campus spans 49 acres and provides facilities like well-equipped laboratories, libraries, sports areas and hostels.

College has over 4,400 students and 270+ faculty members. Out of these 104 faculty members hold PhD degrees and 105 are pursuing them.

SREC is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai and has received NAAC accreditation with an 'A+' grade. Also 7 B.E/B.Tech programs have been accredited by the National Board of Accreditation since 2003.

The college accepts TNEA scores for B.E/B.Tech admissions. For M.E/M.Tech and MBA programs it considers valid scores from the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Exam (TANCET).

In 2023, SREC ranked 59 out of 131 colleges in India according to The Week. The NIRF ranked it between 151-200 out of 200 colleges in the same year.

The college collaborates with different national and international institutes to enhance academic and research activities. Notable international collaborations include institutes in Australia, South Africa, the Republic of Korea, Spain and Canada.

Placements - Graduates have been placed in companies like Saint Gobain, Sanmar, L&T and different IT firms including Infosys, Wipro and Accenture.
