Fee Structure Of NHCE, Bangalore-New Horizon College Of Engineering

New Horizon College of Engineering [NHCE] is an autonomous institution established in 2001. It is located in Bangalore and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University [VTU]. The institute has been approved by the AICTE and UGC. It has received grade ‘A’ status from NAAC.

Admission to UG courses is conducted online and students are selected on the basis of marks obtained in class 12 qualifying examination with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects and scores obtained in KCET and KRLMPCA CET.

Admission to PG courses is also conducted online and on the basis of scores obtained in GATE and Karnataka PGCET examination.

Facilities provided on campus include- library, auditorium, gymnasium, seminar halls, video conference rooms, indoor courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton, well maintained playground and separate hostels for boys and girls.

It has a separate Training and Placement Cell conducting programs- Basic English Communication Training, Aptitude Development Program and Personality Development Program.

Application and Admission Procedure

Located in Bangalore, New Horizon College of Engineering is an autonomous institution affiliated to Visweswaraiah Technological University. The college has 11 departments and offers various courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctorate levels.

Admissions are made strictly on the basis of the merit and aptitude. The college has segregated all the courses in two streams – global and professional.

Undergraduate Courses

For all the undergraduate courses, the student must have passed second PUC/12^th standard or any other equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and 45% marks in aggregate. Also, Physics and Mathematics have to be compulsory subjects along with one out of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Electronics/Biology. The final admission is based on the score obtained by the student in KCET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority.

Post-graduate Courses

For post graduate courses namely – M.Tech, MBA and MCA, the student must have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant stream with at least 50% marks in aggregate. The application form is to be filled online. The final admission is based on the score obtained by the candidate in Karnataka PGCET. However, GATE and CAT scores are also acceptable.

HOSTEL

NHCE provides well furnished hostel facilities to the students coming from other cities. At NHCE the students experiences a safe and pleasant atmosphere. There are 5 hostels present inside the campus that are constructed according to the needs of students.

It provides an intimate atmosphere and makes the hostlers feel like home away from home. The dormitories are designed according to the students, meant for them to study peacefully, relax and socialize with others. There are separate hostels for boys and girls and the rooms are available on the multi-sharing basis.

The rooms are fully-furnished and there is a facility of attached bathrooms in the boy’s hostel. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the hostel and as well as in the campus.
