SNS College of Engineering (SNSCE) is a self-financing private engineering institute that was established in 2007 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The AICTE approved college is affiliated to the Anna University, Chennai.

The campus includes seminar halls, canteen, 2-acre outdoor sports complex, auditorium, academic blocks, library, gymnasium, separate boys’ and girls’ hostels and hospital facilities. It offers various levels of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering disciplines. These are:

• BE: Civil, Mechanical, Fashion Design, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science
• BTECH: Agriculture engineering, Information Technology
• ME: Computer Science, Manufacturing Engineering, Embedded systems, Power Electronics & Drive
• MTECH: Information Technology
• Masters of Computer Application (MCA)
• Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

Admissions for undergraduate courses are done through TNEA (Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) and postgraduate through TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test). For students who are not eligible to give TNEA or TANCET can also apply through CET.

For good placement results, the college starts early placement preparations in the second year of the college through its soft skill sessions or technical sessions or subject related classes.

Application and Admission Procedure

How to apply:

The courses offered by the college are: B.E, B.Tech, M.E, MBA, MCA and Ph.D. The application can be made by offline method.

Offline method: The application form can be taken from the admission branch of the college. It should be filled and submitted with the relevant documents at the office again.

The documents required for the application process to be made are:

• Photocopies of 10th and 12th marksheets
• Rank card of relevant entrance examination examination
• Passport sized photographs

Admission Procedure:

To be eligible for B.E./B.Tech courses students must have a score of 50% in Maths, Physics and Chemistry at intermediate level. For BC category the percentage level required is 45% and for SC/ST and MBC it is 40%.

For those aspiring for higher studies with M.E./M.Tech streams the eligibility criteria varies with each branch of the course. Generally, degrees of Matriculation, Intermediate and Bachelors are required. Graduation degree must be in the relevant field. The qualifying marks for the courses are 50% for GC students and 45% for the rest of the categories. Marks of CET/TANCET entrance exams will be considered as well.

Note:

B.E. and B.Tech degrees obtained through distance learning programmes or weekend classes programmes will not be accepted for admission.

For MBA and MCA degrees of Matriculation, Intermediate and graduation are required. 50% marks are required for eligibility by GC students and 45% is required by other categories. Entrance exam scores to be considered are CET/TANCET.

The college also facilitates research programmes in the technical departments. The criterion is specific for each. PG scores and PI points would be considered.

Campus Facility

The campus of SNS College of Engineering Coimbatore is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. It is a self-financed institute affiliated to Anna University. ICT (Information Communication Technologies) enabled classrooms to provide effective learning and innovative teaching techniques.

The institute has 4 seminar halls with air-conditioned facility and well-furnished boardrooms form a basic part of the infrastructure. An auditorium with 4000 seating capacity is present for all the students for entertainment and educational purposes. Well established library with a diverse book bank and highly developed digital resource centre have also been built on the college premises.

Other facilities include a guest house, 24/7 internet facility, Stationery shop, a reading room and a healthcare unit. A dedicate sports arena is established in college vicinity for indoor and outdoor games.
