Park College of Technology was established in 2009 as an undertaking of the Park Trust, under the chairmanship of Dr. P. V. Ravi. It is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai and accredited by AICTE, New Delhi.

It is located at Karumathampatti on the Coimbatore-Salem NH-47.

The institution offers six bachelor’s degree courses in technical learning, which includes:

• Civil Engineering
• Computer Science and Engineering
• Aeronautical Engineering
• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering

Admission into the institution demands the successful completion of 10+2 or its equivalent by a prospective candidate.

A 20-acre land area near Coimbatore encompasses the college, providing a campus with a library comprising over 10,000 volumes, Wi-Fi and internet connectivity, air-conditioned seminar halls, laboratories and computer labs.

Park College of Technology provides 2 hostels- 1 for boys and another for girls. Facilities include a dining hall, drinking water, Wi-Fi, gymnasium facilities for male students and sports arenas.

Sports and athletics are encouraged, indoor and outdoor games facilities include badminton, basketball, carom, chess, table tennis, etc. for boys and girls alike. Transportation facilities are provided for day scholars.

How to apply

In person

Candidates can collect the admission forms from any of the 60 centres mentioned in the Anna University official website, on payment of INR 500 by either cash or demand draft. The application fee is INR 250 for SC/ST/SCA candidates.

By post

Candidates may have the application form mailed to them. For this they need to send a request letter along with a demand draft of INR 700 (INR 450 for SC/ST/SCA candidates), drawn in favour of- “The secretary, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions”, payable at Chennai and drawn on any nationalised bank.

The candidates need to write their name and address on the reverse side of the demand draft and they must also send in an address label, with their address written on it in block letters as the application form shall be sent to this address.

Admission process

For admission to the B. Tech general candidates need a minimum of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics combined in the class XII examinations(40% for SC/ST/SCA candidates). Counselling is done based on the class XII marks and TNEA guidelines.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel:

Park College of Technology has separate hostel facilities for boys are girls. There are total 160 rooms of which 120 are available for boys and 40 are for girls. Each room has accommodation capacity for 3 students.

Students are provided with these facilities as well:

• Well furnished rooms

• Gymnasium for boys

The hostel has an indoor games room and playground for outdoor games.
