The Madras Institute of Technology (MIT) is a constituent college under Anna University in Chennai. It is a public educational institute established in 1949. The campus is in Chromepet, Chennai, spanning over 40 acres.

MIT offers undergraduate postgraduate and research programs in many disciplines. It was first institute in India to provide postgraduate courses in mechatronics and avionics. The institute houses different departments including Aerospace Engineering and Automobile Engineering.
