Scholarships at AIT:

• AIT provides scholarships to its students based on merit and need. These scholarships are offered by trusts, institutes and state and central government.
• The scholarships are available for both graduate and postgraduate students.

Graduate Scholarships:

1. Karnataka State Government Scholarships: These scholarships are for students belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Minority categories. Eligibility is based on income and academic performance. The scholarship amount varies from INR 10,000 to INR 40,000 per year.
2. Central Sector Scholarship Scheme: For students who scored more than 80% marks in their 12th standard exams. The scholarship amount is INR 10,000 per year for four years.
3. Pragati Scholarship Scheme: A scholarship for girl students pursuing technical education. The amount is INR 30,000 per year or the actual tuition fee, whichever is less.
4. Saksham Scholarship Scheme: For differently-abled students pursuing technical education. The amount is INR 30,000 per year or the actual tuition fee, whichever is less.

Postgraduate Scholarships (M.Tech):

1. GATE Scholarship: Available for students who have qualified the GATE exam. The scholarship amount is INR 12,400 per month for two years from AICTE.
2. PG Indira Gandhi Scholarship Scheme: For single girl children pursuing postgraduate education. The scholarship amount is INR 36,200 per year for two years.
3. PG Scholarship for University Rank Holders: For students securing first or second rank in their undergraduate courses. The scholarship amount is INR 31,000 per year for two years.

Eligibility Criteria:

• For graduate programs (B.E/B.Tech), applicants must have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks across all semesters at the qualifying degree level .
• For postgraduate programs (M.Tech), eligibility criteria vary:
  • Minimum 50% aggregate in BE/B.Tech for general category students.
  • Minimum 45% aggregate in PUC (Pre-University Course) for general category students and 40% aggregate in PUC for reserved category students.
