College of Engineering was established in 1995, by the Institute of HRD, agovernment of Kerala undertaking and isaffiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology.The institute is located in Adoor, Manakkala.
The admissions are conducted on the basis of the ranks obtained inthe All Kerala Common Entrance Exam. It is recognised by the AICTE and has been selected in the Technical Education Quality Improvement Program, Phase II.
The Institute is divided into various departments such as:
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Applied Sciences
It is located about 3kms away from Adoor on the sidelines of Adoor- Karunagapally road. The campus isspread over 12.7 acresand provides world-class facilities of laboratories and workshops and internet lab.

Hostel and Facilities
Hostel
The College of Engineering Adoor is spread over a large campus with no hostel for the students. Students live in nearby PG accommodation. There is a cafeteria for the students as well as 24 hours internet connection.
Other Facilities
The college has facilities like – gymnasium, auditorium, fully stocked library, well maintained playground. The college has fully equipped laboratories as well as ergonomically designed Workshops for Carpentry, Foundry, Welding and Electrical Wiring and Testing.
Student Life
The college has a senate body which gets elected every year. Arts festivals and Sports tournaments are conducted by the college senate in even semesters.
The institute has four department associations which conduct cultural as well as academic fests.

- EESA [Electrical and Electronics Engineering Students]
The most popular technical event conducted by the college is AAROH which is the annual national level technical fest.
The college has a vibrant campus with many diverse clubs- Music Club, Arts club, Sports club, Quiz club, Nature club, Drishti- photography club and Dance club.
