Babu Banarasi National institute of Technology and management (BBDNITM) is a private institution established in the year 1998 in the memory of the ex-chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Babu Banarasi Das.
This institute is affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University in Lucknow and caters to a wide range of undergraduate and post graduate level of education.

Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management offers full time regular undergraduate and postgraduate level engineering courses along with 2 year MBA degree program. For admission in these courses the candidates have to fill the online application form.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE
The application process includes registering for the application form which is online through the website of the institute or the examination and paying the application fee which is Rs 1200 for male candidates of general and OBC category and Rs 600 for female and physically handicapped candidates (all categories) and SC/ST candidates.
ADMISSION PROCEDURE
The admission is done on the basis of the rank scored by the candidates in the entrance examination which UPSEE for B.Tech, GATE for M.Tech and CMAT for MBA. The admission process consists of counselling session which is conducted on a national level.

Hostel
Babu Banarasi Das National Institute of Technology and Management is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The college offers excellent infrastructure and facilities to the students. Separate hostels are available for male and female students. Hostel for male students has a capacity for the residence of 2000+ students while the hostel for female students has a capacity of 1000+.
Rooms are available in the hostel on twin/triple sharing basis. Each hostel has facilities for the recreation of the students in the form of a common room for indoor games and watching television.
Other Facilities
The college has a Wi-Fi enabled campus with classrooms having projector screens for the students. The library has a large collection of books. The campus is completely anti-ragging and secure for the students. The college auditorium is quite spacious and is fit for hosting any kind of event properly.
For the students interested in sports and outdoor activities, the college has well-maintained courts and playgrounds.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at BBDNITM students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
The college has a great infra and greenery around. The faculty provides a great guidance to students and help them shape their career. Though as placement is one of the greatest thing for a student , the management should work a bit on the placement as they are still low as compared to other colleges. Also, some labs like robotics are not there. But if these things are discounted it is a great college.
Entrance Exam
Entrance test which the college accepts is the JEE mains. One of the main reasons was the infra. The infra of the college is huge and attractive as well. Coming back to the entrace i was not called for any interview.
Fees
The college fee is about Rs 1.2 lakhs per year. Considering the facilities provided the it is quite a decent amount. Also, it is compulsory for the students to stay in the campus. Though considering it is a govt college the fee can be a bit lower but then they are also providing so many facilities.
Placements
The college has a dedicated placement cell i.e the corporate relations cell. It takes care of the placements and its their responsibility to make sure students get equal chance of getting placed. Some of the companies which visited the campus are Honda, jubilant, benzara, yes bank, lucideous tech, hcl and more. The placements are still not that great and about 70-80% students get placed depending on the branch. The average package is around 3-6 lakhs. Off campus placement numbers are much higher. The management should work on the placement and employ some industry experts at the CRC as they are just managed by few faculties.
Hostel and Facilities
I used to stay in a PG so not much idea about thye hostels. Though my reason for choosing PG over hostel was just bcoz there are so many restrictions when it comes to hostels also i was told the mess food is bad.
Alumni
Alumni meets are rare but whenever they visit, they make sure they meet the final year students and talk to them about the college and corporate demands and requirements. This helps them a lot in the placement season. The seniors are not just our superiors but also our every day guide who help us not just in academic but mostly every problem we face.

Academics
The exam structure is very hectic during the first year as have classes and labs from morning till 5. Though as we pass on the next the pressure gets lighter. But the students should maintain the min attendance otherwise they will be not be allowed to sit for the exams. Main focus should be on the last year as it carries a lot of weight. Also scores are given on class participation and involvement.
Internships
The internships are not fixed and the placement cell is not well equipped to provide u internships. It is best that you do internships on your own. But you can ask the faculty for recommendation and they will for sure help you with it. You should intership as during placement it is very helpful. Though mtech students get to do the internship.
Loans and Scholarships
Scholorship is provided to those who are not financially strong. Though the candidate has to pay the full fee and if they fit in the criteria of scholarship they get a refund. Yes, loans are also provided, I don’t have much idea about the loans you can contact the college.
