Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) was established under the Act Amendment No. 1156(2) LXXIX-V-1-15-1(Ka), 24-2015 dated Sept 9, 2015 Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 23 of 2000.

It is a public collegiate university which is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. It is has more than 800 colleges affiliated to it.

The technical education programme is the one which includes various programmes such as engineering, training, technology, architecture, town planning, pharmacy, applied arts and crafts. It has been approved and accredited by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the gazette declaration.

There are many courses offered by the university in the field of engineering, technology, architecture, hotel management, catering and technology, apparel design, fashion, pharmacy and so on. There are various under graduate, post graduate, and doctoral courses available for the students.

The main objective of the university is to provide technical education to the students in the most appropriate manner.

Application and Admission Procedure

How to apply:

The candidates can fill the application form via ONLINE only. The application form and prospectus can be downloaded as from the University’s website. The application fee can also be paid through Demand draft or online by net banking, debit or credit card.

The documents should be kept ready at the time of form fill up. All the documents should be uploaded in the prescribed format. The University also provides the candidate to rectify his mistake made in the application form. Though, it is available in only selected fields.

NOTE- The application form will not be available in offline mode.

Admission Procedure:

After successfully submitting the application form the authorities issues a hall ticket for the candidates. The candidates who are successful in the entrance examination are required to attend in person at the time of counselling on the mentioned date and time. The candidates are strictly instructed to carry all the documents at the time of counselling.

Campus Facilities

Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (APJAKTU) is located in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. The campus is urban, vast and open. It is spread across two lakh forty thousand square kilometres.

The facilities available in the campus are Auditorium, library, sports area, medical facility, conference room, hospital, lab, gymnasium, cafeteria, ATM, bus transportation, Postal service and much more.

Hostel

There are 3 boys’ hostel and 2 girls’ hostel available in the campus.

The hostel provides all basic facilities like mess, good room infrastructure, securityand free Wi-Fi.

The scholarship is provided to the needy and meritorious students.

Approximately around 50% of students are awarded scholarship.

Student Life

The student life is known to be very active on this campus. There are various societies and clubs on the campus like NCC, cultural club, anti-ragging committee and more. Literary and sports fest are two annually organized fest of the institute.
