Indian Veterinary Research Institute, [IVRI] Bareilly, also known as the “Mecca of Veterinary Sciences” was established in 1889 with a faculty strength of more than 275 and has a major command over research, teaching, consultancy and technology transfer activities. It owes its prestige as a University to its scientific heritage and its generous contribution to the human resource development in the discipline of veterinary and animal sciences with the skills and knowledge applicable to tackle the challenges of the present generation. The university provides Under Graduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral programmes in various veterinary sciences. IVRI undertakes basic, advanced and applied research through 98 externally funded projects.
