Calcutta Institute of Technology (CIT) was established in the year 2004. It is located near National Highway-6, Howrah in the state of West Bengal, India. It is a private self-finance Institution which is a part of Uluberia Rural Society for Care Of Health and Research Development.

It has a green campus which is spread across 33 acres of land. The institute is famous for their Cosmopolitan environment, qualified faculty, documentation facility and much more.The campus has facilities like transport, canteen, library, Wi-Fi, Bank ATM, hostel and much more

The institute has three departments which are computer science and engineering, electronics and communication engineering and mechanical engineering.

The basic admission criteriaaremerit-based. It is done through counselling based on themarks obtained in the entrance examination JEE for undergraduate courses and PGCET for postgraduate.

How to apply-

To apply for various courses visit the official website. Now select the ‘Calcutta institute of technology’ in the college name tab and further select the course you want to enroll in. Fill in the personal, academic and identification details.

Fill all the details carefully and mention the marks of your recent qualifying paper. Then submit the form and pay the requisite fees via internet banking and download the form for future reference. Students can also check the status of their application by logging into their respective accounts.

Admission Procedure-

For undergraduate courses, applicants have to take any national level Exam like JEE or state level entrance examination.

Similarly for postgraduate courses again the student has to appear in Joint Entrance for admission in Masters of Computer Applications (JEMCA) and Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) for MCA and M.Tech courses respectively.

Further, the students are called for counseling at the college venue and seats are allocated according to the merit

Campus Facility

Calcutta Institute of Technology campus is located in Uluberia in the Howrah region of the state West Bengal. The campus is situated in lush green surroundings with state of the art infrastructure.

The lecture halls in this college are aided with smart equipment and audiovisual tools. Well equipped workshops and efficiently designed laboratories are built for each department separately. The college library provided a diverse stock of books and an up to date digital resource centre.

Other facilities include Transport, Canteen, Sports complex, Computer Centre, Medical and First aid centre, Bank and ATM. 24/7 internet facility is provided to the whole campus.

Hostel

Separate hostels for girls and boys are available at the college premises. Each hostel is around 1 km from the main college academic area. Rooms are spacious and well furnished. Each room includes a table, a cot, a chair and a cupboard.

Wide dining space and a hygienic mess with the multi-cuisine meal are provided at the hotel. Other facilities include recreational room, Laundry service, sports arena, reading room and 24/7 internet facility and power supply. Round the clock security is given to each hostel.
