Sri Sairam Engineering College, Chennai Kanchipuram

Sri Sai Ram Engineering College, Chennai is a non-profitable, non-minority institution established in the year 1995 by Late MJF.Ln.Leo Muthu, Founder Chairman of Leo Muthu Education Trust. This institution is affiliated to Anna University and is also approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi. The current total strength of its students is 3000.

The institute is divided into various departments such as:

• Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE)
• Department of Electrical and Communication Engineering (ECE)
• Department of Information Technology (IT)
• Department of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE)
• Department of Mechanical Engineering (MECH)

Admission in this institute is granted as per the Anna university norms considering that the candidate has qualified intermediate examination with Physics, Chemistry and Math without grace marks.

The Institute offers several facilities like auditorium, dining halls, sports complex, transportation etc. The institute provides placements in more than 50 companies such as TCS, Wipro, Zoho etc. with average and highest package being ₹4-5 Lacs and ₹10 Lacs per annum respectively.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The Sri Sai Ram Engineering College campus is spread over 300 acres. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. The boys hostel is spread over 10,836 sq. m accommodating over 580 students and consists of two phases.

Phase-I consists of ground floor and two floors while phase-II consists of ground floor and four floors. The girls hostel is constructed with an area of 9693 sq. m accommodating over 270 students consisting of two phases similar to the boys hostel.

Four students share each room. A separate reading area is available for the students as well as Gymnasiums and Recreation rooms. The students are provided 24 hours free access to computer and internet facility (wired/wireless).

Other facilities

The college provides various outdoor sports facilities like- cricket grounds, volleyball courts, basketball courts, throwball courts, kabaddi and athletic tracks. Moreover there is an indoor sports complex with a fully equipped gym.

Campus Life

The college provides the students with a vibrant campus life due to its numerous clubs- Automobile club, Cyber club, Health club, Foreign Language club and Photography club to name a few.
