Sns College Of Technology (SNSCT) Coimbatore

SNS College of Technology is a private institute established in the year 2002 under the affiliation of Anna University, Chennai. It is accredited by NBA & NAAC with A+ grade and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.

The institute offers 13 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate programmes. It also offers 2 Ph.D. courses.

The admission into UG programmes is based on TNPCEE exam. For PG programmes, it is based on TANCET exam. For admission into Ph.D., the candidate has to possess Master’s degree in the concerned subject.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel:

The campus of the college is located on the NH 209 which is 10 Kms away from Coimbatore. The North Coimbatore Junction railway station and the Civil Aerodrome airport are nearby. Transportation facility is available on the campus.

The campus has two separate hostels for boys and girls. The rooms are furnished and water, electricity and security are available at all times. Mess is present for dining and relaxation.

There’s an internet cafe and separate gyms within the hostel premises.

Other facilities:

The college also has a Central Bank of India ATM, a playground spread in 2 acres area, a cafeteria, an ambulance van and first aid kits, an open auditorium with a seating capacity of 6000 people, a dining hall and an activity block.

The campus has full WiFi access. It has a runs an initiative called the “Act on a Dream” which motivates students to participate in the different clubs and maintain a link to their personal hobbies. For this purpose there are clubs called:

• Team Hype- for sports, music,dance, drawing, photography, reading and literature enthusiasts.
• Triple Helix- for skill development training in Photoshop, soft skills, communication skills, programming language, CAD/CAM, etc.
• Scholars On A Cause ( SOC )- For those interested in preparing for competitive exams like UPSC, Banking, GRE, CAT, Foreign language
• Random Acts Of Kindness- for the social work enthusiasts who’d like to contribute in Green Campus, Awareness, Charity camps.

There’s a Research and Development centre as well. Many motivational schemes and activities are facilitated by the college for the benefit of students. A Youth Parliament platform is also available for development of leadership, communication skills and enhancement of thought process of the participants.
