Mepco Schlenk Engineering College Virudhunagar

MEPCO Schlenk Engineering College is an autonomous engineering college in Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1984. The college is sponsored by the Mepco Schlenk Charities.

It is a private institute. It was previously affiliated with Madurai Kamaraj University until 2002. Later it became affiliated with Anna University, Chennai and recently in 2012 with Anna University of Technology, Chennai.

MEPCO Schlenk Engineering College offers B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.Tech, MBA, MCA and PhD programs. Programs receive approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Institute provides many specializations in B.E/B.Tech and M.Tech, including Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, Mechanical, Information Technology, Bio-Technology, Structural Engineering and others.

As of 2023 the college has 3,600+ students and around 300 faculty members. It is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade A and National Board of Accreditation (NBA). It is recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC).

B.Tech admissions are based on merit. The college accepts TANCET or GATE scores for M.E/M.Tech admissions. Candidates for all courses must participate in TNEA Counseling conducted by Anna University, Tamilnadu.

College provides different facilities like hostels for boys and girls, a library, sports amenities, an auditorium, a cafeteria, medical facilities, wi-fi, IT infrastructure, guest rooms and banking services.

In NIRF rankings 2023 college is placed in 101-150 rank band. During 2023 placement drive college made 702 placement offers. A total of 584 students were placed. Major recruiters include Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Amazon and ICICI Bank.
