Vimal Jyothi Engineering College was established in 2002 in Kannur, Kerala. It is a self-financing catholic minority institution managed by Meshar Diocesan Educational Trust and the Archdiocese of Thalassery. The institute is accredited by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Trivandrum.

HOW TO APPLY?

The candidate seeking admission at Vimal Jyothi Engineering College (VJEC), Kannur are eligible for the same if they qualify their 12th class or equivalent examination with minimum 50% marks.

The candidate should appear and qualify in the Engineering entrance exam conducted by the commissioner of entrance exam, Government of Kerala. The candidate can apply for the admission application online only.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE

The admission procedure at Vimal Jyothi Engineering College is as per the government Regulation and the policies of KV CME Association which is declared in the prospectus.

50% of the total seats will be filled by government allotment, 10% seats are allotted on community basis by the government applicants 50% seats are allotted to NRI category, 35% of the seats are allotted under management category on the pure merit of the rank list published by the college.

Campus Facilities

The campus has facilities for athletics in the form of outdoor games fields, running tracks, cricket pitches, indoor games facilities as well as a state-of-the-art gymnasium.

The presence of a well-furnished central library and information centre caters to the academic needs of students and other bookworms of the institution. A language lab with modern amenities provides for further enhanced teaching and learning efficiency.

For daily maintenance and provision of necessary articles of everyday use, the central store of the college functions as the receiving and distributing centre of the institution’s campus.

An infirmary takes care of minor ailments incurred by students and refers them to the nearest hospitals for serious illnesses.

Hostel

There are two hostels each for boys and girls and another PG for accommodation of the students. A canteen provides for food for students at subsidised rates and Buses ply on fixed routes to enable students to commute to nearby areas.
