Kongu Engineering College (KEC) Erode

Kongu Engineering College is a private institute located in Perundurai, Erode district, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1984 by the Kongu Vellalar Institute of Technology Trust formed by 41 philanthropists. College's campus spans 167 acres.

The college is autonomous and affiliated with Anna University, Chennai. It offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in technical science and management disciplines. It provides 11 BE/BTech programs, 3 BSc programs and 19 Master's Degree programs. Total enrollment is around 8,700 students including 330+ research scholars. Faculty comprises 500+ members.

Kongu Engineering College features advanced infrastructure and established a Center of Excellence. This center supports students and faculty in emerging technologies with advanced laboratories and practical resources.

Admissions are based on entrance exams. TANCET is used for M.E, M.Sc., M.Tech, MCA and MBA programs. TNAE is for B.Tech, B.Sc. and B.E programs.

College is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and holds an 'A++' grade from National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). In 2021 it ranked 164 among engineering colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF).

Placements - In 2019-20, around 220 companies participated, resulting in 1,325 job offers. A total of 1,043 students secured placements.
