M.E.S Kalladi College, Mannarkkad was established in 1967 as a junior college managed under Muslim Educational Society, Calicut to the cause of higher education in kerala, especially to the educationally backward areas of Malabar. M.E.S Kalladi College is the first college stated by the MES is also the outcome the noble endeavor of the late kalldi Cheriya Kunhahamed Sahib and the local public. The college has been accredited for a period of 5 years with B++ grade (institutional score above 80%) by the NAAC in 2004.

The main objective of the college is to develop the institution into an organization which embodies, fosters and protect normative relationships and action patterns and performs functions and services which are valued in the environment and to transform the existing pattern of domination in the society, to create new social meanings, to generate new categories of knowledge and hence new social roles.
