BMS Institute of Technology and Management (BIMSIT&M) is a private college located in Bangalore, Karnataka. It is affiliated with the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.

Admission procedure

Students must have scored 60% marks to qualify intermediate/2nd year pre university with Maths and Physics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry, Bio-Tech, Comp Sci., Bio/Electronics as one of the subjects. Scores of KCET/ COMED-K are other requisites for UG admissions.

For PG admissions 50% marks in relevant B.E./B.Tech degree with PGCET score is required. PhD admission is based on the university criteria.

The placement of BMS Institute of Technology Management (BMSIT) was established in the year 2004, with its first placement in the year 2005-2006. The students have been placed in More than 150 organizations.

Application and Admission Procedure

How to apply:

BMS Institute of Technology and Management offers UG, PG and research programmes. To apply to these courses students must register themselves through online method.

Online method: Students must click the “other links” option on the institute’s website to visit the COMED-K and KEA entrance exams website and fill the forms. After duly filling the form and uploading scanned documents online payment of Rs 1200/Rs 1500 (depends on the choice of subjects in intermediate) can be made. Documents to be uploaded are:

• Scanned copy of matriculation mark sheet/certificate
• Scanned copy of intermediate marksheet/certificate
• Scanned copy of residence proof
• Category certificate
• ID proof and passport sized photographs

Admission procedure:

For admission into UG courses

The eligibility criteria for BE courses is qualification of intermediate with 45% marks and Physics and Maths as mandatory subjects; any one of Chemistry, Bio Technology, Computer Science, Bio or Electronics as optional subject and English as a compulsory language.

Scores in Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) or Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) would be considered.

A minimum of 60% marks are needed for students seeking admission through the management quota.

For admission into PG courses

Students with 50 % marks in relevant graduation stream can take admission by clearing the Post Graduation Common Entrance Test, Karnataka (PGCET)/Gratitude Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE).

For admission into Research courses

For PhD admission a master’s degree with a minimum of 60-70% from a recognized university is required.
