Saranathan College Of Engineering Tiruchirapalli

Saranathan College of Engineering is a private university founded on 1998. This university is self financed and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is also approved by AICTE New Delhi.

This institute offers Under Graduate programs in 7 streams and post graduate program in 4 streams. The total intake of college is 660 students including all departments.

Saranthan College of Engineering is spread across 40 acres which includes library with over 52,000 books and seating facility for over 500 students, hostel facility for both boys and girls, one seminar hall. An open auditorium and Amphi Theatre, Computer Centers with internet connectivity of 64Mbps, canteen and a ground.

The admissions in the college for under graduate courses are done on the basis of the percentage scored in 12^th standard and the merit list in the entrance test. The lateral entry (direct admission to 2^nd year) is done on the basis of percentage scored in Diploma.

The admissions for post graduate programs are done on the basis of percentage scored in post graduate program by a student.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel Facilities:

Two separate hostels are available for men and women. The boy’s hostel is within the campus and the girl’s hostel is located on Trichy-Viralimali National Highway which is 6 Kms away from the college.

All the basic amenities are included in both hostels; such as neat and clean, well-furnished rooms, WiFi, Games and Entertainment room, Dining hall with nutritious vegetarian food. Added to these are Library, Cyber Café and Playground. Both hostels come under the aegis of the college committee and have excellent security.

The huge campus of the college has five huge blocks called the Secretary K. Santhanam Block, RV Block, Kamaraj Block, Jagadguru Shri Jayendra Saraswati Block and Poojyasri Rajaji Block: All of these contain different departments its accompaniments. The campus also has workshops and parking sheds.

Other facilities:

The campus has a Data Centre, STD service, Photocopy shop, Canteen, Library with more than 50000 volumes and excellent transportation facility with a huge number of buses.

The college has an extensive sports facility with almost all sorts of games which are played during sports events.

Students are professionally established through the services of the Training and Placement Cell. Several skill development workshops are scheduled throughout the year for the industrial efficiency of students.
