Noida Institute of Engineering and Technology (NIET)is a private institution founded in 2001, and located in Greater Noida, UP. It is affiliated to Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow, and has been duly approved by the AICTE.
At the undergraduate level, the institute offers courses such as B. Tech and B. Pharm, and at the postgraduate level it offers programs such as M. Tech, M. Pharm, MBA, PGDM, and MCA. Apart from these, PhD programs are also available.
The college campus is located in the urban centre that is Noida, and is divided into 4 colleges. It offers facilities such as hostels for boys and girls respectively, a well-equipped central library, state-of-the-art labs and classrooms, medical amenities, computer labs, a cafeteria, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities including a gym.
The admission into UG and PG programs is on the basis of merit marks scored in Class 12th and the applicant’s Bachelor’s degree respectively, including ranking scoring on entrance examinations such as the JEE-Main, the UPSEE, the GATE, the GMAT/CMAT/CAT, and the GPAT.
Hostel and Facilities
Hostel:
The NEIT campus spreads in a vast area of 13.90 acres. It harbours nine innovation laboratories, Basketball court, playground and a Bank and ATM of Union Bank of India.
Hostel facility is available for both boys and girls with a total of 531 hostel rooms. Students get 24/7 Jio WiFi access, water, electricity and security. The mess has advanced equipments.
Apart from these the hostels have a games room, a gym, and playgrounds for outdoor games. Medical care is provided through First aid kits and doctors available on call. The college has collaborated with Kailash and Yatharth hospitals as well.
Other facilities:
The college also has a cafeteria, a photocopy corner, a Badminton court, a mother dairy booth, a nescafe outlet, Herbal garden, a central library with 93000 books, a computer centre, Etiquette lab and much more.
The college also runs several professional and academic advancement programmes such as Campus Wide Quality Improvement Program, Total Student Development Program and Weak Students Development Program.
The college holds several celebratory functions and events on special days like World Health Day, Women’s Day, International Literacy Day etc. The college organises yoga, plantation drives, cloth donation camps, self defense training etc on such days.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at NIET students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
