Adichunchanagiri Institute of Technology was established in the year 1980 at Chikmagalur, Karnataka. The College is affiliated to the Visveraya Institute of Technology (VIT), Karnataka and is approved by the AICTE, New Delhi. Additionally, the college is also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and also by the NAAC organization.

The institute offers Engineering and Management courses, which are the B.Tech, M.tech and M.B.A. There are 6 technical departments for the UG and PG engineering courses – CSE, IT, EEE, ECE, Mechanical and Civil Engineering.

The application forms are available for Rs.1000/- in the official website and students can apply using their 10+2 marks in the case of undergraduate admissions and college score for the postgraduate admissions.

The Campus spreads over 65 acres of land surrounding green and serene environment with all modern facilities.

Application and Admission Procedure

Students who want to enroll themselves in the college should have a minimum overall mark of 45% with Physics and Math as compulsory subjects.

Students can apply to the college by giving the CET exam and than by the following procedures.

• Online mode: You can fill the application form and give the required application fee of 1000 INR to download the prospectus and apply to the university.
• Offline Mode: You can also do the required process offline by drawing a DD (Deamd Draft) of 1000 INR in favor of The Principal, Adichunchanagiri institute of technology Chikmagalur.

Admission Procedure

• Students looking forward to apply for MBA programs can apply through CAT/MAT/XAT/MH-CET
• The rank card of GATE is accepted for students looking forward to apply for the M.Tech programs
• Students need to have a minimum of 50% marks overall to apply for the MBA programs.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The Institute provides hostel facilities for male and female students respectively. Two fully-furnished hostels are available for boys, and a new fully-furnished hostel is available for more than 300 girl students.

All hostels are equipped with 24-hour security and CCTV monitoring system.

The boys’ hostel provides facilities such as medical amenities, recreation, sports equipment, a gym, a library, purified drinking water, hot water for bathing, and a power generator.

The girls’ hostel is newly constructed and has rooms with single, double and triple occupancy. Facilities include a reading hall, dining hall, meditation hall, and indoor and outdoor recreation. The mess is run on a cost-sharing basis. Senior faculty members are appointed as wardens.

The campus is located on a sprawling 57-acre land in Chikkamagaluru town, Karnataka, 250 KMs from Bangalore. Facilities provided include a well-equipped library, transportation amenities, and sports facilities including a gym.
