Mohamed Sathak Engineering College (MSEC) Ramanathapuram

Mohamed Sathak Engineering College is located in Kilakarai, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1984. It is the first self-financing engineering college in Tamil Nadu. Institute operates as an unaided private entity and is affiliated with Anna University, Chennai.

The college provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in different engineering disciplines. These include Aeronautical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Architecture and Marine Engineering. The B.E/B.Tech program is the flagship course. The college has over 2400 students which includes more than 2300 undergraduates and 170 postgraduates. It has a faculty strength of 250+.

Facilities at college include spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories and computer labs with internet access. The language lab is equipped for improving communication skills. The library is computerized and contains numerous books and journals. The college also features large playgrounds and a gymnasium. Separate hostels for male and female students are available. 

Admissions are based on entrance examinations. The college considers TANCET scores for postgraduate admissions. For B.Arch it accepts JEE Main or NATA scores. College is approved by AICTE and accredited by NBA and NAAC with an A+ grade.

Placements - In the academic year 2021-22 over 200 students secured placements with an average salary package of Rs 2.5 lakhs.
