Since 2009 Malabar College of Engineering and technology started its journey. It is private engineering college which has been recognized by several organization viz AICTE, The University Of Calicut etc.
This college offers Under Graduate And Post Graduate degrees in various engineering branches such as Mechanical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Environmental engineering etc
For getting admission into this college offered courses one has to qualify either KEAM( state level entrance exam) or JEE Main( a national level entrance exam).

Hostel and Facilities
Malabar Institute of engineering and technology (MCET) has a lush green campus. They provide a spacious library and a transport department inside the college consisting of buses to staff and students.
Hostel facility is available for both the boys and the girls coming from across the countries.The college provide hostel facilities only for the first year students in case of boys which can accommodate more than 200 students. There is reading room in each floor and they are separated by a common room which consists of a television.
The boy’s hostel has a badminton court, football ground and a table tennis court to practice and enjoy sports. In case of girl’s hostel, there are rooms to accommodate 400 members. The first year students have a separate wing. Their hostel comprises of a luxurious mess and study hall. In both the hostels, wardens are assigned in each floor to monitor the students.
