Hindusthan College Of Arts And Science (HICAS) Coimbatore

Hindusthan College of Arts and Science is an autonomous private institute in Coimbatore. It was established in 1998.

The college provides 26 undergraduate courses, 11 postgraduate courses and 10 PhD programs. It also offers diploma courses. B.Com program is flagship course at college. Academic departments include Arts, Technology, Science, Commerce and Management.

The student population is approximately 8,600. The faculty has more than 250 teaching staff members many of whom have Doctoral degrees.

Hindusthan College is affiliated with Bharathiar University. It received autonomy status in 2016. The college is recognized by UGC. The Tamil Nadu government has also approved it.

The campus covers 17.11 acres including 7,03,745 sq.ft of built environment across six academic blocks. Facilities available are a library, guest room, clubs, eight seminar halls, indoor and outdoor auditoriums and two amphitheaters. Hostel facilities exist for both boys and girls.

The college admits students based on merit for undergraduate programs. MBA candidates are selected based on TANCET scores.

Hindusthan College holds a NAAC A++ grade accreditation. It has been ISO certified since 2012. College was ranked within 100-150 band in NIRF Rankings 2022. It was ranked 55th nationally and 18th in Tamil Nadu among Top Private Autonomous Colleges by Education World India Higher Education Rankings 2021.

Highest salary package offered to graduates was INR 8.2 LPA. Average salary package stood at INR 3.5 LPA. Major companies involved in recruitment included Zoho Corporation, Capgemini, Nex2us and Infosys.
