Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering and Technology is a constituent college of Uttar Pradesh Technical University. A government-funded autonomous engineering college is located in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. It was established in 1989 by the Government of Uttar Pradesh and has been approved by All India College of Technical Education.
The college offers various courses at undergraduate and postgraduate level. All the undergraduate courses have been accredited by National Board of Accreditation.
The admissions to various courses offered are strictly on the basis of merit. The students are admitted on the basis of their ranks in State Entrance Examination – Uttar Pradesh Technical University (SEE-UPTU).
The college has a dedicated training and placement cell to help students secure decent jobs post-graduation. Various companies like Accenture, Adobe, Caledonian Industries Limited, iGate, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services etc. visit the campus every year to recruit the students for various job profiles.
The campus is fully residential with hostel facilities for all the students. Various facilities like library, cafeteria, high-speed internet, gymnasium, bank and post office etc. have been provided to the students.
Application and Admission Procedure
Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering & Technology is situated in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. It is a government funded autonomous engineering college which has been approved and accredited by the AICTE. It was established in 1986. It is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Lucknow.

MBA (2 Years)
Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks in aggregate. Admission to the program will be done on the basis of scores obtained in UPSEE Entrance Exam.
Hostel and Facilities
Bundelkhand Institute of Engineering Technology is situated in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh and covers up a large area. It is fully a residential college.
Hostel Facility
This institute provides hostel facility to both men’s and women’s. At present, there are 4 hostels for boys and 2 for girls. The hostels can accommodate around 1500 students.All the rooms are well maintained, clean, furnished and have the accessibility of all basic necessities such as 24 hours electricity, water etc.
There are 2 types of rooms. Some rooms are single occupancy while others are triple shared. Each hostel has a common room with LCD TV and cable connection. The hostel mess serves fresh and good food. Hygienic part is well maintained here. Moreover, mess is managed by the student committee.
The entire campus has internet accessibility. There are a Chief warden and team to look after the entire hostel administration and hostel security. Apart from it, there is a separate caretaker for girl’s hostels.
Other facilities
The college has a very good and large library which has a vast collection of books, CDs, journals etc. Besides that, there are separate tabs for different subjects which are well maintained and well organized too.
Moreover, it provides some of the experienced and skilled faculty members. It also has a good functioning placement cell.

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at BIET students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
Management was co-operative and helpful but at times they become negligent when it comes to providing equal oppurtunities to girls in sports. Some politics was also there in managment for which students have to suffer. Overall experience of 4 years in the college was good.
Entrance Exam
I had participated in UPSEE exam to take admission in engineering colleges because i had completed my diploma course so I was eligible to take admission in second year i got 746 general rank in all over UP i want to take admission in government college so I was chosen it i wanted to take admission in electrical branch so i chosen this college.
Fees
The fee of the college is around Rs 80k and this does not include the hostel fee. If the students want to get into hostels too they have to pay additional fee of about the same amount i.e around 80k as hostel fee.
Placements
The hostel facilities was good but the food quality was not good as you know the condition of food of engineering colleges are not good mostly in 1st and 2nd year student had to share the room and in 3rd and final year individual room was allotted to every student the lane wire and wifi facility was good.
Hostel and Facilities
The average package offerd during my time was around 3-6 lacs/annum. Adobe, Infosys, TCS, Mahindra Satyam, Syntel, Lohia Starlinger, DSCL, JP etc. companies came for campus placement. Though I would say some students actually went for off campus placement and got good salary.
Alumni
Hostels are one of the best. Hostel has uninterrupted power supply and high speed broadband connection. In third year and final year you get your individual rooms, which would be a really big one and three-sharing in first two years. Food is as good as the mess secretary and managing body for the same.
Faculty
Faculties are highly qualified. They have their PHd from IITs. Also there is good scope for research here. Overall the teachers are co-operative but at times becomes strict. Course curriculum is good but there is more focus on theory instead of practical.
Campus Life
Gender ratio would be around 1:3 :: boys: girls in a branch. We have a thriving literary council conducting lot of literary an personality transforming activities - ranging from debate, elocution, youth-parliament to poetry writing and street plays.
Academics
Internships
No, it doesn't provide internship. No company came. Students have tro do internship in other companies. some companies provide stipent but most of them doesn't.
Loans and Scholarships
Loan facility is not provided by college you have to take your own arrangements to find loan. Yes, there are some scholarship programs for Btech and Mtech students. But I don’t know much you should contact the college for more details.
