Scholarships at Mar Baselios Institute of Technology and Science (MBITS):

1. Merit cum means Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Students belonging to minority communities (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains and Zoroastrians).
• Covers: Full course fee and a maintenance allowance.
• Amount: INR 10,000 per year for hostellers and INR 5,000 per year for day scholars.

1. Central Sector Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Students scoring above 80% in their 12th standard examination with parental income less than INR 6 lakhs per annum.
• Amount: INR 1,000 per month for the first three years and INR 2,000 per month for the fourth and fifth years of study.

1. Management Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Students belonging to the Jacobite community or with an annual income less than INR 2 lakhs or scoring above 75% in their qualifying examination.
• Amount: Varies from 25% to 100% of the tuition fee.

1. Post Matric Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Students belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Eligible Communities (OEC).
• Covers: Full course fee and a maintenance allowance.
• Amount: INR 12,000 per year for hostellers and INR 5,500 per year for day scholars.

1. Merit Scholarship:

• Applicable to: Students securing a rank within the top 10,000 in the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination (KEAM).
• Amount: INR 6,000 per year.
