The MBC Institute of Engineering & Technology is located in Sadhanpur, Purba Bardhaman district. It is a government polytechnic college. Institute was established in 1893 and it is one of oldest technical institutes in area. It is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated with the West Bengal State Council of Technical & Vocational Education & Skill Development.

The college offers a three-year Diploma in Engineering with specializations in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering. It also provides two vocational courses at the 10+2 level and many short-term courses under the CDTP Scheme.
