Bannari Amman Institute of Technology is situated in Sathyamangalam,Erode district in the state Tamil Nadu. It is an autonomous engineering college. The institute is a part of Bannari Amman Group, and was established in the year 1996.
Bannari Amman Institute of Technology has been affiliated to Anna University and is also recognised by AICTE, New Delhi. The institute has also been certified ISO 9001:2000 for its education quality.
It has also been awarded with the best engineering college ward from the Indian Society for Technical Education, in 2009.

HOSTEL
The college provides accommodation for both boys and girls. 2500 students in boys hostel and 2200 students in girls hostel can be accommodated at a time. Warden and security guard are appointed by the college for administration and security of the students round the clock.
Facilities like sports room, fresh water and electricity supply, modern kitchen etc. are provided. Various other amenities provided at the hostel are as follows:

Eligibility
To pursue MBA at Bannari Amman Institute Of Technology students must satisfy following eligibility criteria.
The minimum qualification to apply for admission to the MBA Program is a Bachelor's Degree (10+2+3 years of education) in any discipline which is recognized by the Association of Indian Universities, or any degree equivalent to the Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the Secondary / Higher Secondary / Pre-degree Examinations (or equivalent) conducted by a Board / University.
Those appearing for the final year of the Bachelor's degree examinations may also apply subject to completing their examinations or viva-voce, if any, before June 30. Such candidates will however have to fulfil the above eligibility requirements in respect of minimum academic qualifications for admission and furnish evidence to that effect latest by October 31. At the time of interview and/or admissions, they will be required to produce a letter from their College Principal / Head of Institution stating the exam dates.
Candidates with appropriate industry experience will be given preference for admissions. Their work experience will be given due weightage in terms of the organization, position held and duration.
Admission Procedure
Selected candidates will be called to attend Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. Multiple Group Discussion & Personal Interview lists will be released in phases, both before and after the Application Deadline. The intimation for interview & group discussion is done through registered post and e-mail. In the case of some programs, Group Discussion may not be conducted, in favor of a rigorous interview process.
The selection criteria for calling candidates for admissions is based on multiple factors as follows:
- Past academic performance
- Quality & content of the answers in the application form
- Work experience, if any , in terms of job content & organization
- Group Discussion & Interview performance (applicable for final admissions only)
- Extra curricular activities, other interests & accomplishments
- Competitive Test score (CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT)
A combination of all the above factors are used to determine the eligibility of candidates to be offered final admission. Test scores are NOT the only criteria for selection.
A high test score does not guarantee a call for Group Discussion/Interview. The selection criteria are based on multiple factors as mentioned above.
Remarks
The overall feedback would be Good. Yes I would recommend it to others .I chose this college considering it's campus and lab facilities, placements and secure environment.. The college admission process is based on counselling process.. My cutoff was 189.50 and according to that range one of the best college option is this which was available. And also it's one of the reputed college in TamilNadu
Entrance Exam
I chose and applied it through counselling process.. it's based on 12 standard scores and cutoffs..My cutoff was 189.50 and By the time I joined the cutoff requirement was from 188 to 192. The process after selecting it through counselling process is admission which included enclosing BGC forms, marksheet and counselling confirmation.
Fees
"Fee for the course would be 4 lakh Rupees excluding miscellaneous 1st year- 1 lakh 2nd year -1lakh 3rd year -1lakh 4th year -1 lakh This is for direct admission. Its affordable and the mandatory fee is justified. There will be miscellaneous expenses like lab fee and extra course charges "
Placements
Yes.. The college does have placement cell.. They organise seminars from external institutes to develop self development and logical thinking. They also conduct elective exam comprising of aptitude and logical thinking questions.. they also conduct classes on personality development through their clubs Both IT and core companies visit for placements.. TCS, Adventure will have bulk recruitments..and companies like amazon, soliton also recruit some picky candidates. Roles offered would be Asst.System engineer. By the time I attended the campus, maximum salary was 6Lakh per annum and lowest would be 2Lakh per annum. About 90% of the candidates got placed
Hostel and Facilities
There are 6 different boys hostel blocks and 5 different girls hostel blocks available each named according to names and stones.Quality of rooms are good like there are 4 membered rooms, double bed rooms and single bed rooms. Annual hostel fee would be 80000 Rs . Mess food provides only vegetarian foods and eggs.. there s a local store too. Gym and Wi-Fi facilities are also present
Alumni
There are alumni portals in our college website which lets us to update and discuss opportunities.. there's group mail ID for each batch through which we can circulate requirements and opportunities to other batch
Faculty
Faculties are recruited based on direct interview performances.. So most of them knows the subject well. College focus on academics but also supports extra curricular activities. Each class would be for like an hour or 45 minutes.. Mini projects are done each year by the students.. assignments are both written types and experiment ones.. there are both external and internal exams.. they have equal importance like 50-50 which is considered for end semester. The quality of the method of teaching is quite good and they adopt new techniques like mind mapping and seminars. Overall academic performance of the college is good.

There are both internal and external exams (end semester). Internal exams are held between two months.. there will be two internal and model exam.. an aggregate of three will be made for 50 and another 50 marks for which the external exams are held.
Internships
College doesn't offer internships. Students themselves have to find companies and do their projects. Yes I did an internship for a project in Porous Technologies
Loans and Scholarships
Scholarships are provided by the college through various trusts around Coimbatore.. Community based and sports scholarship are also provided. About 60%of students gets scholarships for UG
