Syed Ammal Engineering College (SACE) is an AICTE approved and NBA accredited private engineering college which has been affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is based in Ramanathapuram, Tamil Nadu. It is also an ISO Certified Organisation. SACE was conceived and executed in 1998, by Dr. E.M. Abdullah in the memory of his mother Syed Ammal.

The college offers graduate programmes in Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering streams and post-graduate programmes in Computer Science & Engineering, Embedded System Technologies, VLSI design, Manufacturing Engineering, Power Electronics & Drives and Master of Business Administration (MBA).

Spread over an extent of 25 acres of landmass, the college has state-of –the- art technology and avant-garde resources for its academic and administrative apparatus – be it library, pedagogical aides, class rooms, computing systems, laboratories, workshops or hostels and cafeteria, and even sports and leisure, besides housing a score of professional bodies and chapters, including that of IEEE, ISTE, CSI, IETE, IE (India) and SAE on the one hand and fine arts and culture on the other.

The college has also forged strategic alliances with industry facilitators – Randstat, ICT Academy, E2 , Oracle, ETA– to quote a few- and academic collaboration with UniversitiSains Malaysia, Penang, to bolster its intellectual capital.

HOSTEL AND FACILITIES

Located in Dr. E.M. Abdullah Campus, about 7 km from Ramanathapuram, towards Madurai, Syed Ammal Engineering College offers all the facilities to its students. The college has a fully residential campus with hostel facilities for both male and female students. The rooms are available on sharing basis. A decent cafeteria providing good eatables to the students at affordable prices is also present.

The campus is environment-friendly with lush green trees and plants.

The college has a library located on the second floor of the EEE building of the campus. The library staff is available for the students daily including Sunday although the working hours differ. Online Public Access Catalogue makes it easy for the students to search any book in the library. A digital library with 20 computers is also provided to the students for accessing online resources with great ease.

The classrooms are well equipped with projector screens and desks. A spacious auditorium to hold various expert talks and seminars is also present in the campus.
