Fee Structure Of JECC, Thrissur-Jyothi Engineering College

Jyothi Engineering College was formed in the year 2002 under the aegis of Syro-Malabar Catholic Archdiocese of Thrissur. The college is affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Kerala Technological University and the University of Calicut. All the courses offered by the institute are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi.

The college is accredited by NBA (National Board of Accreditation) with grade A and has also got a topmost certification from NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). A wide campus with modern up to date infrastructure is inbuilt and varied dedicated centres for excellence and placement is also provided.

Other centres involve start-up centre under the central government scheme and other research aided development centres.

The courses offered by the institute include undergraduate technical courses and postgraduate courses. Departments established in the institution are listed as follows-

• Electronics and Communication Engineering Department
• Basic Sciences and Humanities Department

The admission to all these courses is done through national level entrance examination and state level examinations. Provision for scholarships is also provided under the institute management and some schemes are also provided by Ministry of Human Resources and Development.

Hostel and Facilities

Hostel

The college provides separate hostels for both boys and girls. The hostel for girls is known as Marian and the hostel for boys is known as Santhome. All the hostel rooms have telephone access to receive incoming calls from the families of the students.

The hostels have a mess wherein the Students’ Mess Committee decides the mess menu.

The hostels are provided with 24*7 power supply and backup generators. They also have arrangements for games and televisions.

Games can also be played on the hostel compound. The hostel compound also has telephone booths and a general and stationery goods store. The monthly hostel fees including all charges is INR 3250.

Campus facilities
The college central library has 11658 and 1921 CD ROMs. The digital library in turn has 36 computers with internet connection.

The college central computing facility has over 210 computers with the latest configurations. There is also a language laboratory with audio visual learning aids and the latest software.
