Budge Budge Institute of Technology (BBIT) is located in Kolkata. It was established in 2009 by the Jagannath Gupta Family Trust. 

The institute is a private unaided college. It is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology for undergraduate and postgraduate programs. It also has an affiliation with WBSCTE for diploma programs.

BBIT offers courses in Engineering and Technology. Engineering disciplines include Civil, Mechanical, Electronics and Communication, Electrical and Computer Science. The institute also provides Management programs in Marketing, Finance and Human Resource. It offers Polytechnic (Diploma) courses as well. The B.Tech program is the flagship offering.

The institute has a total student intake of 1,020 and employs 204 faculty members. The campus features facilities like Wi-Fi, a central library, audio-visual classrooms, a computing center and a central workshop.

For admissions BBIT accepts the WBJEE entrance test for its B.Tech programs. Institute has received accreditation from NBA for engineering programs as well as from NAAC. It is recognized by UGC and approved by AICTE.

In terms of rankings BBIT was ranked 94 for B.Tech by TOI in 2022 and ranked 107 by OUTLOOK in 2019.

Placement -  In 2022 around 80% of students secured placements. Highest offered salary was approximately 23 LPA off-campus while lowest was about 3 LPA. Companies like Amazon, BYJU'S and TCS recruit from the campus.
