1. National Scholarship Portal:

• These are Central Scholarship and AICTE scholarship schemes.
• Central Scholarship Schemes include Merit cum Means Scholarship, Post Matric Scholarship, Pre Matric Scholarship and National Fellowship for OBC Students.
• AICTE scholarship schemes include Pragati Scholarship for Girls, Saksham Scholarship for Differently Abled Students and PG Scholarship for GATE/GPAT Qualified Students.

1. Department of Backward Classes Welfare:

• Offers loan and fee reimbursement to students belonging to Backward Classes (category-1, 2A, 3A and 3B) who get admission to engineering through CET.
• Loan amount is up to Rs.1.00 lakh per year or actual expense limits covering admission fee, tuition fee, laboratory fee, examination fee, books, stationery and equipment at a nominal 2% interest rate.
• Fee reimbursement is for students whose income is below 2.5 lakh for category-1 and below 1 lakh for category-2A, 3A, 3B.

1. Department of Minority:

• Offers Merit cum Means Scholarship to minority students (Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Parsis and Jains) whose income is below 2.5 lakhs.
• Covers tuition fee, admission fee and maintenance allowance.

1. Department of Technical Education:

• Offers scholarships to students whose income is more than 2.5 lakh and less than 10 lakh.
• Covers tuition fee only.

1. College Scholarships:

• SJEC offers scholarships to meritorious students based on their academic performance in each semester.
• The scholarship amount ranges from Rs.5000 to Rs.25000 per semester depending on the rank obtained by the student in the university examination.

• SJEC Mangalore scholarships are provided for meritorious candidates who have secured 80% in 2 PUC Examination.
• Scholarships are given to students who belong to minority categories like Christians, Sikhs, Buddhists, Muslims and Jains.
