Nandha Engineering College (NEC) Erode

The Nandha Engineering College has been established in 2001 by fundings from the Sri Nandha Educational Trust which was founded by Thiru. V. Shanmugan, industrialist and social worker. He began the institute in order to provide hassle-free education to students in the rural areas. It is located in Erode, Tamil Nadu.

The college aims at promoting the socio-economic conditions of the country and establishing the institute amongst world class Engineering institutes of the world. It is affiliated to the Anna University and accredited by the NAAC and NBA.

The campus is spread over 25 acres of land and harbours all amenities required for a student’s life. It has a library, hostels, labs, gym, ATM, auditorium etc. The transportation facilities are in abundance for students and staff from different regions.

Admissions are based on merit as per the Tamil Nadu Common Admission Criteria (TANCA).

The college has different clubs and for the skill developments of students and a Placement cell for their career goals. The latest award received by the college is the Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Award for Innovative Research in 2018 by the Society for Engineering, Education Enrichment, New Delhi.

The campus provides a homely feeling to the students by accomodating the students in the hostels which are separate for men and women. The hostels are safe, clean and comfortable. The lush green campus provides a pollution free environment to the students. A wide variety of services are avaialble for the students in the hostels such as rooms attached with washrooms, bed, chair, tables, cupboards, almirahs, accomodation is available with or without food, separate mess facility is available at each hostel, hygeinic vegetarian meals are available with variety of cuisines, hot water facilties, free internet connectivity, wifi systems, hosiptal, dispensary, medical facilties, counsellors, 24 hour security, power back up for light, laundry facilties, facilities for indoor and outdoor games and mcuh more.
