National Engineering College (NEC), Kodaikanalwas established in 1984 and is running under the National Educational and Charitable Trust. The college is affiliated to Anna University and approved All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). In order to increase the internal potential, knowledge and soft skills of the students institute organizes/conducts many activities like Cultural, Sports, Literary, Technical activities / TechFest, Industrial Visits / Tours, Alumni and Social Activities. NEC regularly maintain excellent infrastructure and healthy educational environment so the students can grow with an ambience of humanity, wisdom, creativity and team spirit.

The college has placement and training cell that regularly organizing Industry Institute Interface activities, Career / Personal Counseling sessions for students, Organizing Career Guidance sessions, Personality development programs, Workshops, Seminars for students and On / Off campus Interviews for the final year students.
