Surendra Institute Of Engineering And Management (SIEM) Darjeeling

Surendra Institute of Engineering and Management (SIEM) is a private engineering and management college located in Siliguri, West Bengal. It was established in 2009 under Bidya Bharati Foundation.

Campus spans 2.3 acres and includes an academic building of around 100,000 square feet. Facilities include classrooms, laboratories, a library and administrative offices. The infrastructure supports modern educational needs with seminar halls and workshops.

SIEM offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) programs in five fields- Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The institute holds approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).

The student body consists of 600 students with a faculty of 50 members leading to a student-to-faculty ratio of approximately 12-1. For admissions institute accepts JEE Main and WBJEE scores but does not conduct its own entrance test.

Placement cell at SIEM is active in providing job opportunities. The highest salary package recorded in recent years is Rs. 12 LPA from Jaro Education. Other employers include Infosys, Robert Bosch and Accenture.
