The Mala Education Trust School of Engineering is a self-financing private institute established in 2002.

This AICTE approved Christian-Minority College is affiliated to the University of Calicut, Kerala and APJ ABDULKALAM Technological University. The 28 acre lush green campus is surrounded by exquisite valleys, hills and chirping birds.

The college provides admission in the following disciplines:

• B.TECH: Computer Science, Biotechnology, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical & Electronics and Electronics & Communication.
• M.TECH: VLSI design, Biotechnology, Computer Science

Students with a minimum age of 17 years and a minimum of 50% in 10+2 in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board are eligible to apply. Final selection is based on 50% marks from entrance test and 50% from 10+2.

The college also reserves 50% of the total seats for management quota, students for which are selected by a team of Chairman, Director, Principal and Administrator. It also administers a Campus Recruitment Program (CPR) to prepare its students for the placement process.

Application and Admission Procedure

Admission process

Interested candidates are required to score above 50% in mathematics separately and 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Maths put together. For students applying for management seat Quota in private self-financing engineering colleges/ government controlled self-financingengineering colleges, are required to obtain at least 45% in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together.

For students not having Chemistry as a subject may be considered based on marks obtained in any one of the mentioned subjects that is Computer Science, Biotechnology or Biology.

Of the total, 50% seats are based on merit scored in common entrance exam allotted by Entrance Commissioner and rest goes to management quota. Of the management quota, 35% are reserved for NRI candidates. Merit is made of 50%, 12^th standard marks and 50% of Common Entrance marks.

All the students are advised to thoroughly go through the prospectus published by the commissioner for entrance exam to get access to complete rules and regulations.

MET’S SoE does not have any hostel as of now.

Facilities

• Library: The Library in MET’s SoE Technical Campus has over 31000 volumes on over 3000 titles. Also there are 140+ Journals and magazines for the students to gather immense knowledge.
• Laboratory: The laboratories in MET’s SoE are built with the purpose of making the students able to perform various experiments in the correct way and reaping accurate results from them.
• Seminar Halls: There is a seminar hall, having 150 seat capacity along with audio-visual facilities.
• Other facilities:

1. There is a canteen covering a widespread area, with a view of greenery all around for the perfect relaxation of students and faculties.
2. Internet and Wi-Fi facilities are provided.
3. There is a facility for transport through buses during working hours.
4. Guest House is available.
