Rama Naggappa Shetty Institute of Technology was established in the year 2001. It is a private type institution and is located in Bangalore, India. The college is affiliated to Visvervaraya Technological University.
RNSIT is run by R.N Shetty Trust and is amongst the top colleges of Karnataka. The institute has accreditation from All India Council for Technological Education (AICTE) and NBA. The college has been accredited with ‘A’ grade by NAAC.
The college has both undergraduate and post graduate courses in the fields of Engineering and also in Management. The college is a leading institute in many industries like construction, manufacturing, automobile, power and IT.

Hostel and Facilities
RNS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
HOSTEL AND FACILITIES
Located in Bangalore, Karnataka, RNS Institute of Technology provides all the modern facilities to the students. The college is well-equipped with the required infrastructure. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls. The college currently has two boys and one girls’ hostel. The boys’ hostel currently resides 530 boys while the girls’ hostel currently has 300 residents. All the hostels have their own dining mess. There is a guest room available for parents and other visitors in the hostel.
The college has an excellent library with a collection of 26341 books. The library has a great collection of books ranging from text books to reference books. It also has a good collection of national and international journals for the reference of faculty members and students. The total number of journals is 80.
Different departments have different laboratories well equipped with all the modern equipments. Workshops are available to conduct practical experiments and classrooms are well ventilated and spacious. The college also has a gymnasium.
The college canteen provides decent eatables at an affordable price to all the students.
An extension counter of Canara bank is present on the college campus for the convenience of the students.
Transport facility is also available to the students coming from different parts of the city at a nominal cost.
