Distance MBA in Tamil Nadu
Tamil Nadu is perhaps one of the most literate states of the country, and is a well-favored center of education. The state is famous for its many state universities, and is home to a few very famous and notable institutions such as the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, Indian institute of Management Tiruchirapalli, National Institute of Technology Tiruchirapalli, Dr. Ambedkar Law College Chennai, Madras Institute of Technology, Madras Medical College, and others.

The distance Education Council (DEC) has approved Alagappa University for almost all its courses, and the university is also recognized by the UGC and the AICTE. Similarly Anna University, Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu Open University, Annamalai universities, and the others are also legitimate universities having all their courses well approved by the DEC and the UGC.
The eligibility for the Distance MBA at Alagappa University requires the student to possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with a 10+2+3 education. Similarly Tamil Nadu Open University only requires its students to be graduates from any recognized college. The other universities such as Bharathiar University, and Bharathidasan University in the state also follow similar eligibility criteria for admissions, albeit few colleges having age limit for the courses. Anna University conducts an internal exam, and a pass in the entrance exam is required for admission into the university. Similarly few colleges also base their admissions on the DEET (Distance Education Entrance Examination)
The universities in Tamil Nadu have comparatively lower fees, as to other states. While Alagappa University charges a modest fee of Rs6, 500 per year for its Distance MBA course, Anna University requires its students to pay an amount of Rs18, 650 for the entire course of two years. Annamalai University on the other hand charges a fee of around Rs13, 500 per year for its two-year course. Bharathiar University similarly charges a total fee of Rs35, 000 for the MBA course. The fees at almost all the universities are remitted usually through Demand Draft payable at their respective bank branches.

Annamalai University provides MBA specializations in E-Business, International Business, Human Resource Management, Marketing Management and Financial Management. Anna University offers Distance MBA specializations in General Management, Technology Management, Marketing Management, Operations Management, Human Resource, etc. Similarly Bharathiar University offers specializations in Human Resource, Finance Management, Tourism and Hotel Management, Marketing, etc.
For Admission at Bharathiar University the student may obtain the application form by remitting the application fee of Rs100, in person, by post, or through online mode. The candidate may simply walk in with the required documents and the filled in application form for direct admissions. The admission at Anna University is based on the score of the student in DEET. The candidate may send his application with the required documents through post, or may submit his application in person before the last date. Similarly for admission at Bharathidasan University the candidate needs to obtain the application form online and send it by post along with the required fees. The application fees must be remitted through Demand Draft.
The universities offering distance education in Tamil Nadu are some of the most renowned universities of India and these are highly ranked and are well received.
