The Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT Vellore) is a private university in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. It was established in 1984 by Dr. G. Viswanathan. VIT Vellore is recognized as a Deemed University. The campus features modern infrastructure and different facilities including computer labs and a library.

The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programs in fields like engineering, technology, management, science and humanities. B.Tech program is flagship offering. VIT Vellore conducts its own entrance tests, including VITEEE for B.Tech, M.Tech and PhD programs.

National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has accredited VIT Vellore with an 'A++' grade. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has approved the institute.
