The Government Engineering College at Wayanad, Kerala is a government engineering college established in 1999. It is an AICTE approved institution and is affiliated to Kannur University.

B.Tech course

Eligibility: 10+2 or Equivalent with Physics, Mathematics, Chemistry/Biotechnology, Language and another subject. Must have scored at least 45% marks. All reserved category students have a 5% relaxation in minimum aggregate.

M.Tech course

• Network and Communication Security
• Communication Engineering and Signal Processing

Eligibility: Should have passed B.E./B.Tech in ECE/AMIE in ECE, AMIE (Electronics and Telecommunication Engg.) / AMIETE (Electronics & Telematics Engg.)/ Electronics & Computer Engg. or equivalent / Electronics

Admission is based on GATE Scores.

How to apply?

Filling of the application form for admission will take place online.

Visit the site of the college, there you will find the admission portal, register yourself, fill the form, upload your photograph, signature and other documents such as 10^th certificate, mark sheet of 12^th, caste certificate.

Then press the submit button you will see the pay application fee page pay the fee by using net banking, credit card and debit card once the payment is completed your form is submitted to the college.

Admission process

The admission is provided on merit basis which is released according to the marks secured by students in Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical Exam (KEAM). It is a state level exam conducted by the government in order to give admission in engineering and medical colleges. The question papers will include questions of Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics. Students who will clear KEAM will be called for further counselling sessions.

Campus facility

There are various facilities that are provided on the campus of college. Availability of central computing facility, central library, Industry Institution Interaction (III) Cell, Virtual Class rooms, college bus, high performance computing, Career Guidance and Placement Cell, and Centre for Continuing Education.

This college also has four activity clubs which encourage students to do and learn something in extracurricular fields also. The first activity club is Sports and Arts Club this club regularly organize tournaments, championship etc, the second club is Staff Club this club is for faculty, the third club is Nature Club it conducts activities like planting, picnic, and the last club is Bhoomithrasena Club the aim of the club is to protect nature.

The college also celebrates its annual day with great zest. Many cultural programs are also held and students also get chance of performing and showing their talent.
