Government Engineering College, Mananthavady is located in Wayanad. Its campus covers 25 acres. Government of Kerala established it in 1999. It is one of nine Government Engineering Colleges under the Directorate of Technical Education Government of Kerala. Institute is public and affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

College offers five B.Tech courses- Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Civil & Environmental Engineering. It also offers two M.Tech courses- Communication Engineering & Signal Processing and Computer Networks & Security. Flagship course is B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering.

Around 1,300 students study here. Faculty members are selected by Public Service Commission, Kerala, based on merit. College has a central library with 10,000 books and offers other facilities like a computing center, canteen, college bus and hostels.

Admission is through Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance examination. It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Some B.Tech programs are accredited by NBA.
