Government Engineering College, Kozhikode Kozhikode

The Government Engineering College, Kozhikode (GECK) is located in Kozhikode city. Government of Kerala established it in 1999. The college operates under the Department of Technical Education, Kerala. It is a public institute affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University since 2015.

GECK offers B.Tech degrees in Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. It also provides M.Tech programs in Signal Processing, Energy Systems Analysis and Design and Computer Aided Process Design.

College has about 1900 undergraduate students and 800+ postgraduate students while it has 90+ faculty members.

The institute features a central library, a central computing facility, a hostel, a language lab, transportation services, Edusat and a canteen.

Admissions to undergraduate courses depend on the merit list from the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) entrance test.

It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The college has been ranked 39 out of 144 based on students' academic performance. Pass percentage for 2019 was 75.55%.

The placement cell reported about 100 placements in 2023. Recruiters include Renault Nissan, Yokogawa, Ey Global Delivery Systems, Quest Global, Cognizant and Aarbee Structures.
