College Of Engineering, Attingal Thiruvananthapuram

The college of Engineering Attingal, was established by the Institute of Human Resources Development (IHRD) Government of Kerala undertaking, as an autonomous institute in 2004.

The college offers degree courses in fields like Electronics and Communication and Computer Science. It is approved by the All India Council of Technical Education and is an affiliated college under APJ Abdul Kalam Kerela Technological University.

The college provides technical education in the following departments-

• Computer Science and Engineering
• Electronics and Communication Engineering
• Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The admission into the programs offered by the college is based on the KEAM Entrance Test.

It is located at Attingal and on the sides of NH47 between Kollam and Thiruvananthapuram. It has access to various modes of transportation facilities and is about 23 km from Kollam and 36 km from Trivandrum.

The college infrastructure has enough spacious and ventilated smart clean study classrooms labs and workshops. They also provide computing centres with campus Wi-Fi, seminar halls and adequate sport facilities.

Hostel and Facilities

The college of Engineering has an environment-friendly campus.

Two regular bus services are provided by the college, one journeying from Trivandum to the college and vice-versa and another from Kottiyam for easy transportation by the students and the staffs. On all working days, the morning trip starts from 8.10 am.

The canteen is located inside the premises and serves vegetarian and non-vegetarian meals along with refreshments at affordable rates. Strict monitoring of the canteen is done to take care of the hygiene.

A language lab facility in the college helps in building the student’s English vocabulary. A co-operative store located near the main building helps in providing stationary items. Computer is equipped with a centralized computing facility consisting of a 100 MBPS NKN connection.

Hostels are managed by private owners with PTA closely monitoring their activities.New students and parents can gather information from the PTA. Permanent hostel for girls are available.
