Rajiv Gandhi Institute Of Technology (RIT) Kottayam

Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology, Kottayam, is a government institute established in 1991. It is managed by the Government of Kerala. The institute is located in Velloor PO, Pampady, Kottayam.

Institute offers Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in six disciplines and Master of Technology (M.Tech) in nine specializations. It also offers Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) and Master of Computer Applications (MCA). Institute provides a research center for PhD programs. All courses are affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University and receive approval from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Facilities offered include a central library, computing facilities, hostels and college buses. The central library is computerized and offers online access.

UG admissions depend on scores from the Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) and National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA). For PG courses Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) score is considered.

The institute has accreditation from the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) and NAAC with an 'A' grade. It is also recognized by AICTE.

In rankings, it placed 28 out of 30 colleges in India for its Architecture program in 2024 according to India Institute Ranking Framework (IIRF).

Placements - In the 2021 placement drive 265 students secured jobs. Top recruiting companies include Microsoft, Oracle, Tata, Wipro, Infosys, MRF and IBM. Highest offered package was INR 17.20 Lakhs and average package was INR 3 Lakhs.
