National Institute Of Electronics And Information Technology (NIELIT), Calicutwas established in 1984. It is an autonomous body of Department of Electronics and Information Technology, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Govt. of India. The college is affiliated to University of Calicut. It offers long term, short term and online training courses in various fields of Research, Engineering and Technology. NIELIT conducts workshops, industrial training and seminars in areas of Technology, Electronic Product Design, Control and Instrumentation, Embedded systems and VLSI.
NIELIT has a rich academic excellence that maintain the conducive environment for overall development of students. The institute arranges special training classes on request with minimum of 10 student’s batch size. It also provides educational loan from national banks to help the students in continuing their higher study. NIELIT provides placement assistance/campus placement to the students. Many students from this institute is presently working in reputed government and non-government organizations.
