Lal Bahadur Shastri College of Engineering is a public engineering college located at Povval village, kasaragod, kerala. The college was established in the year 1993; Approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Kannur University.
The college offers various undergraduate and post graduate courses, dividing the college into 8 departments-

Admission criteria: Admission is done on the basis of entrance exams such as KEAM followed by an Interview.
Facilities: College has facilities of Library, Digital library, Computer labs, ATM facility and Transportation Facility. The college also has three on campus and three off campus hostels for both boys and girls providing accommodation to its students.
Placements: Companies like IBM, HSBC, Tata, Quest, and Wipro visits the college for recruitment or placement.

Hostel facilities
The college provides fully equipped hostels for both boys and girls. There are three hostels on campus and three off campus. The hostels have 24*7 internet connection and the mess ensures that the students are provided with healthy and hygienic food.
For the recreation of the students, there are facilities for indoor games in the hostels.
College facilities
The college has a fully automated library with a vast collection of books journals and multimedia learning resources along with a digital library. The library also offers internet and photocopying facilities.
The college has a central computing facility with all the latest configurations.
Other college amenities include- a fleet of 6 buses for transportation of the students, an on-campus Central Bank of India ATM, cooperative stores where students can buy books and stationery items at discounted prices and a mini Fabrication laboratory equipped with 3D printers and scanners, laser cutters and engravers etcetera.
