Future Institute Of Technology (FIT) Kolkata

Future Institute of Technology (FIT) is a private educational institute in Garia, Kolkata. It began operations in 2014 and is managed by Future Education and Research Trust. Institute is affiliated with Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology (MAKAUT).

FIT provides degree-level engineering courses. The program offerings include B.Tech in different fields like Computer Science and Engineering, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Cyber Security, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

Facilities - It has three air-conditioned auditoriums with different capacities and sports facilities including cricket, football and basketball grounds. Medical support is provided through local clinics. FIT also maintains well-equipped workshops and laboratories. Hostel accommodations exist for students from outside the locality. 

Admissions at FIT require scores from West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and holds a Grade A accreditation.

FIT ranks 92nd in India. In placements, many students from the 2023 batch secured jobs at companies like Cognizant, TCS, Wipro and Infosys. Recruitment process usually begins in third year and students receive average packages ranging from INR 3 LPA to INR 6 LPA.
